BACKGROUND

One of the greatest compliments is when a couple decides to walk a photographic journey with you, scheduling shoots for all their big life milestones with you.

JD and Marike has made this commitment towards me and I've had the honor to document their surprise proposal, their engagement & wedding celebration as well as their wedding anniversary for them.

In the case of their anniversary, the first which is paper (photos) we had to postpone by a year due to the restrictions placed on most of the events industry during the pandemic. So instead of scrapping their first anniversary, they decided to combined it with the arrival of their first puppy, Maurice, on their second anniversary.

This called for an afternoon beach adventure at Kogel Bay to allow Maurice some space to run, and us to enjoy the magic of February sunsets along the coast.
