Tom and Caity's love story started during varsity when they attended the same Economics class together. Initially, he was rather rude towards Caity; she didn't think much of him as a romantic partner. Three years after they got engaged.

They share a love for watching movies and taking long hikes together in the Table Mountain National Park. Recently Tom shared his interest in coding with Caity. In their spare time, they now enjoy solving IT problems together.

As a storyteller behind the lens, I am constantly inspired by the awe-inspiring landscapes that South Africa has to offer and Ashanti Estate did not disappoint with the views and natural beauty. I love working at this venue and am so excited that they have recently added accommodation pods on their premises. This makes the flow of a wedding day easier and saves so much time on driving between venues. If I can give any advice it would be to select a wedding venue which offers accommodation and on-site chapel options. You'll thank me later ;)

Ashanti Estate provided the perfect outdoor ceremony space under a canopy of magnificent trees. Caity, radiant in her gown, walked hand in hand with her father towards her groom. Tom's eyes were brimming with anticipation under the archway adorned with flowers in colors that mirror the changing season.

As the ceremony unfolded, time seemed to stand still. Every smile, every tear, every shared glance was immortalized for the couple to look back on for years to come. The exchanging of their vows were followed by a relaxed canapé hour next to them dam, accompanied by their favourite music and food.

After last light, the celebration moved indoors, where the cozy reception beckoned. Here, the colors of autumn adorned every corner, as if nature herself has painted the walls. An abundance of flowers – fiery red, burnt orange, and deep burgundy – cascade from every table, creating a whimsical fusion of the outdoors and indoors. Shadows dance playfully, casting enchanting patterns on the walls, as loved ones come together to share in the joy of the newlyweds.

During the comedic speeches laughter echoed through the room as friends and family shared their favourite stories of Tom and Caity's journey.

As I look back on the memories created at Ashanti Estate, I am reminded once again of the power of photography. It allows us to relive the most cherished moments, to feel the emotions all over again, long after the day has passed.
