LOVE STORY

One of the reasons I love to call this my job is that I get unlimited access to document a very private part of my clients' lives. Jonathan and Marike included me in all their adventures from the get-go. I was secretly commissioned to document Jonathan proposing to Marike on a rainy Wednesday in Franschhoek at one of their favourite wineries (their spakling wine is extraordinary!) and this was such a pinnacle in what I could expect for this journey leading up to their celebration.

Thoughtful, kind, with the utmost attention to detail, I really enjoyed spending so much time with this lovely pair.

For their engagement session we explored the city during golden hour and shared the best bubbly overlooking majestic Table Mountain from the Silo Hotel.

On their wedding day, it felt like we have been friends for years, making the day comfortable and relaxed to photographed. From personalised name cards, to home-made honey from Marike's family farm in Mpumalanga, the beautiful autumn sunset completed their love story perfectly. Tulbagh never disappoints!
