THEIR LOVE STORY

In 2015, Lillie was studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa as an undergraduate student from Penn State University. At the time Adrian was also studying at the University of Cape Town for his engineering degree. Their paths crossed at a restaurant called the Wild Fig, where Adrian worked part-time as a waiter.

They hit it off right away, despite knowing that Lillie would have to leave in just two weeks, they quickly became inseparable during that time. They spent every day together, going on dates and exploring the beautiful sights of Cape Town. One of their memorable adventures was climbing Lion's Head, which would be the first of many hikes they would venture on together. As Lillie's departure date approached, they both felt a strong connection and wanted to continue what they had started. They stayed in touch, talking every day and making plans for the future. Adrian even bought a plane ticket to New York to spend the holidays with Lillie and her family in November of that year.

Over the next few years, they traveled back and forth between Cape Town and the United States while they focused on their studies. It wasn't always easy being apart, but their love for each other kept them going. In 2018, after Adrian graduated, he made the big decision to move to the U.S. while Lillie finished her Master's degree.

Fast forward to January 2020, Adrian and Lillie took a trip to Hermanus, a beautiful coastal town in South Africa. Little did she know that he had something special planned. During a romantic picnic on the beach at sunset, Adrian got down on one knee and proposed to Lillie. It was a moment she will never forget.

In preparation for their wedding, they decided to have a pre-wedding (engagement) photo shoot. It turned out to be one of their favorite experiences together. The photos captured the essence of their relationship - natural and genuine. Looking back at those photos brings back such beautiful memories for them.
