PAUL & CHLOE'S LOVE STORY

The beautiful love story of Paul and Chloe is nothing short of what most rom-com movies are made of. 18 months ago, they were both invited to a mutual friend’s birthday braai. (For the non-South Africans it is what is called a Barbecue in the States and we tend to host a lot of these during the summer months!) At first both Paul and Chloe was rather reluctant to attend the event, but they were encouraged by their friends and family and they headed off to a night which would change their lives forever. Chloe arrived first and settled in amongst her friends. As she was driving, she decided to not have any drinks during the night - this is an important part to their story :) A few hours later Paul arrived and as he entered the main living area, his eyes locked with Chloe’s and the rest is history. Later that evening and a few drinks later, Chloe offered to give Paul a ride home. He accepted and the start of an emotionally deep and meaningful relationship ensued. Fast forward to 2023 and Paul reached out to me to plan a special surprise proposal during his holiday in Cape Town. He wanted to make this moment unforgettable and capture the raw emotions of the event. As a photographer who specializes in heartfelt and sincere photography, I was excited to be a part of this beautiful journey.

Cape Town provided the perfect backdrop for this romantic occasion. Its stunning landscapes, filled with breathtaking views and enchanting natural beauty, added an adventurous edge to the setting. I knew that combining the love between two people with the charm of Chapman's Peak Drive would create a truly magical experience.

The day of the proposal arrived, and Paul and I carefully orchestrated every detail. We found a secluded spot in Cape Town where we could witness the glorious sunset over the ocean. The golden hour bathed everything in soft, warm light, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.

As the sun started to set, Paul led his partner to the spot we had chosen. The nervous excitement was palpable in the air. I discreetly positioned myself, ready to capture every fleeting expression and emotion.

Paul got down on one knee, and with trembling hands, he presented a ring to his Chloe. The look of surprise and overwhelming joy on her face was a sight to behold that she forgot to say YES!

My goal was to capture the essence of each couple's love story, preserving it in timeless images that will be cherished for a lifetime. I believe that love is a powerful force that deserves to be celebrated, and I strive to convey this sentiment through my work. I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of Paul's special day and to have witnessed such pure and beautiful love.
